Who Am I?

Dr. John Shin is a Child, Adolescent, and General psychiatrist. Dr. Shin received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his training in General Psychiatry Residency and in a Child Psychiatry Fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Shin is board-certified in Child, Adolescent, and General Psychiatry.

Dr. Shin has extensive experience in the evaluation and medication management services for children, adolescents and adults. He has expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, psychosis, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Shin provides comprehensive assessment and medication interventions which is patient-focused and individualized to optimize functioning of the patient. He has great familiarity with the military culture and family- based intervention.  Dr. Shin wants to provide the right service, for the right condition, at the right intensity which works best for the patient.
